What PTT collects.
We collect information needed to operate accounts, provide matchday-planning features, respond to users, understand how PTT is used and improve the service.
Account & authentication
When you create or use an account, Firebase Authentication processes information including your email address, Firebase user identifier, authentication provider, account creation time and last sign-in time.
PTT currently supports email/password and Google Sign-In.
Saved choices
Information you choose to save in PTT, such as favourite or saved clubs and other account-linked preferences required to provide personalised app functionality.
App usage & events
PTT records selected interactions with the service, such as pages and features used, club interactions, fixture activity, pub and map actions, partner clicks, timestamps and session-related information.
Issue reports & support
If you report an issue or contact PTT, we process the information you submit. This may include the relevant club or location, issue type, message, report status and account identifier.
Technical & security data
Technology providers used by PTT may process technical information required to provide and protect their services, including IP addresses, user-agent information, device or app information and security-related identifiers.
Partner interactions
When you follow an external travel, parking, hotel, booking, affiliate or other partner link, PTT may record the outbound interaction and may receive click, conversion or commission information from the relevant partner or affiliate network.
PTT does not request your live GPS location.
The current PTT service does not ask for permission to access your device's live or background GPS location. Where PTT provides maps, directions or external location-based services, those services may apply their own privacy practices once you choose to open them.
Technical providers may still process information such as an IP address as part of operating, securing or measuring their services.
Why PTT uses your data.
Run your account
To create and authenticate accounts, keep users signed in, provide saved-club functionality and deliver features linked to a PTT account.
Operate & improve PTT
To understand whether features work, identify problems, improve navigation and usability, prioritise development and understand how supporters use the service.
Respond to users
To answer support or privacy enquiries, investigate incorrect information and respond to issue reports submitted through PTT.
Understand matchday demand
To understand broader football travel and matchday-planning patterns and produce aggregated or anonymised insights that can inform PTT's product and commercial partnerships.
Measure marketing
To understand app installs, campaign performance and selected in-app activity so PTT can assess which marketing is effective and improve how the service is promoted.
Protect the service
To help prevent abuse, maintain account and platform security, investigate technical problems and comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
How PTT measures the product.
PTT uses its own product analytics and selected third-party technology to understand how the service performs.
PTT product analytics
PTT records selected app events to understand product usage. These events may include page or feature interactions, club and fixture activity, pubs or map interactions, saved-club actions, partner clicks, timestamps, platform information and session or internal account identifiers where applicable.
This information is used for product improvement, performance analysis and the creation of aggregated matchday insights.
Meta app measurement
The PTT mobile apps use Meta's software development kit (SDK) for app-install attribution, advertising campaign measurement and selected app-event analytics.
Depending on your device, operating system, privacy choices and the identifiers available to the SDK, information processed by Meta may include app-event information and technical, device, network or advertising identifiers.
Cookies, SDKs and similar technologies
Websites and mobile apps can use cookies, SDKs, local storage and similar technologies to store or access information on a device. Where applicable law requires a choice or consent for a particular technology, PTT applies the relevant requirements alongside this Privacy Policy.
Understanding football travel without selling personal data.
One purpose of PTT's analytics is to understand broader supporter and matchday trends.
What an insight might show
- which club or fixture pages attract the most interest;
- which stadium areas or matchday places are viewed;
- how often supporters use pubs, maps or travel features;
- general parking, accommodation or transport demand;
- which types of partner links receive interest; and
- general matchday-planning patterns and trends.
How PTT can use those insights
PTT may use aggregated or anonymised insights to improve the product and to support discussions or partnerships with clubs, supporter organisations, pubs, hospitality businesses, breweries, travel companies, accommodation providers and other relevant commercial partners.
PTT does not sell personal user data. We do not provide commercial partners with a personal profile identifying an individual supporter.
Who may process information.
PTT uses specialist service providers to operate the website and apps. We only use or share information for relevant operational, measurement, legal or user-requested purposes.
Google / Firebase
Firebase provides services used by PTT including authentication and database infrastructure. Google processes information on PTT's behalf in connection with these services.
Meta
Meta receives information through the Meta SDK used by the mobile apps for app-install attribution, campaign measurement and selected app-event analytics.
Squarespace
PTT's public website is provided using Squarespace. Squarespace may process technical information and use technologies required to host, secure, operate and measure the website.
Email & support providers
Providers used for business email, support communications and operational notifications may process the information contained in messages sent to or from PTT.
External services
Travel, accommodation, parking, maps, hospitality and other external services operate under their own privacy terms when you choose to leave PTT and use their websites or applications.
Authorities & advisers
Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect legal rights, respond to lawful requests or obtain professional legal, accounting or regulatory advice.
Bookings and affiliate partners.
Some journeys continue outside PTT.
PTT includes links to third-party services such as travel, accommodation, parking, maps and other matchday providers. When you follow one of these links, the third party becomes responsible for information you provide directly to them under its own privacy policy.
Some links are affiliate or commercial links. PTT may receive commission when a qualifying booking or purchase is completed. Affiliate networks or partners may provide PTT with reporting such as click, transaction, conversion or commission information.
PTT does not process your payment card details simply because you follow an external affiliate or booking link through PTT.
Website cookies and tracking.
Squarespace website technology
The public PTT Football website is hosted through Squarespace. Squarespace may use cookies and similar technologies needed for website functionality, security, performance and its platform services.
No additional advertising pixel

The legal grounds PTT relies on.
Different activities can rely on different lawful bases under UK data protection law.
Contract
Where processing is necessary to provide a service you have requested, such as creating and authenticating your account and providing account-linked functionality.
Legitimate interests
Where reasonably necessary to operate and improve PTT, understand service demand, analyse product performance, maintain security, respond to issues, develop the business and create aggregated commercial or matchday insights.
PTT considers these interests against the rights and reasonable expectations of users.
Consent
Where consent is required for SDKs, storage/access technologies or another specific type of processing, PTT relies on the choice you provide and you can withdraw that consent where applicable.
Legal obligations
Where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulatory obligations, lawful requests or requirements to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Some providers operate internationally.
Some of the technology providers used by PTT operate infrastructure outside the United Kingdom. Google, Meta and other technology providers may therefore process information in more than one country.
Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, PTT relies on the appropriate transfer mechanisms made available by the relevant provider, which may include UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.
You can contact privacy@pttfootball.com if you would like further information about the safeguards relevant to your personal data.
How long PTT keeps information.
PTT does not apply one arbitrary retention period to every type of information. We consider why the information exists, whether it remains necessary and any legal or operational requirement to keep it.
Account data
Account information and user-linked PTT data are retained while needed to operate your account and associated features.
When you complete PTT's account deletion process, the Firebase Authentication account and the PTT Firestore data linked to that user are deleted.
Support & issue information
Support communications and issue reports are kept for as long as reasonably needed to investigate or resolve the matter, maintain an appropriate operational record and meet any applicable legal requirements.
Usage & event information
Analytics and event information is retained while it remains reasonably useful for product improvement, operational analysis, security, business planning and the purposes explained in this Privacy Policy.
Aggregated information
Information that has been aggregated or irreversibly anonymised so that it no longer identifies an individual may be retained and used for longer-term analysis, reporting and commercial insight.

Children and young users.
Football is followed by people of all ages. PTT does not ask users for a date of birth as part of its standard account registration and does not require users to provide unnecessary personal information simply to plan a matchday.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to PTT that should be reviewed or removed, please contact privacy@pttfootball.com .
Protecting PTT data.
PTT uses technical service providers, authentication controls, database access controls and other reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss.
No online system can guarantee absolute security. PTT reviews its systems and service configuration as the platform develops.
